Not only was the watch a great gift for my dad this Christmas (can't wait for him to open it up!), but I learned that Orient Watches doesn't outsource which is pretty awesome, especially with today's economy as dire as it is and the need for jobs.

Orient Men's YFH04001B Star Retro-Future Black Automatic Watch Review

Orient Men's YFH04001B Star Retro-Future Black Automatic Watch
Average Reviews:

I have handled many automatics the past few years. I finally settled on an Orient Mako. Orient fans were fanatic about it. They claimed it kept good time and was the most stylish watch for the price. Maybe so. I did find it annoying that I had no Idea when the power would run out as I dont wear my watches all the time. Also, It seemed I was constantly setting the time.

Something I have had NO PROBLEMS with on my new Orient. The YFH04001B airplane concept is precise. I haven't had to set the time since I got it (two months ago), and I never run out of power thanks to the 40/hr power reserve indicator. Since I fly occasionally on the weekends this watch was a perfect fit (and all the talk among my flying friends). I would have to say If I had to buy another Automatic I would def. stick with an Orient and Possibly a star because of the precision time keeping, the awesome looks, the power reserve indicator, and of course the not so ridiculously high price of say a swiss model.

Product Description:
In this collection, you will be fascinated with the exceptional designs that are inspired by the industrial age of the 1950's.Just from looking at the face of this watch, you will notice the airplane motif of this watch and how it is cleverly put together to make a wonderful timepiece. This watch is perfect for you if you enjoy the limitless freedom of the skies or if you appreciate the inventive craft of an airplane.
The instruments of an airplane are well reflected in the dial (face) of the watch. The middle of the dial looks like a cross landing strip. When looking at the dial itself, you can imagine the exhilarating thrill of a pilot just before landing on a runway.Even the power reserve indicator embodies a fuel gauge of a plane.
What you are looking at is a mechanical watch. This means that there are no battery capacitors and that the watch is powered by motion.Pilots are able to identify how much power is left in their plane by their fuel gauge.Likewise, the power reserve indicator tells the owner how much power is left in the watch in units of hours.
Notice how the design integrates a second-hand indicator like an altitude meter.Furthermore, Orient designed this watch so that the stainless steel piece on the center of the dial comes out of the crystal glass to emphasize the nose of an airplane. As a result, the hour and minute indicator bear a resemblance to propellers. The hour and minute indicators, as well as the time indicator, are luminescent so that you are able view the time in the dark.Since the case is a semi-skeleton, the owner is able to look into the mechanics of the watch just as an engineer can view the engine of a plane. The font for this watch is very industrial to emphasize the thriving industrial era of the 1950's.
On the side of the watch, you will see that the bezel (the grooved ring of the watch) is matte finished while the rest of the case comes in finished metal. What sets apart this watch from the rest of the watches is the turbine-engine look of the crown. The crown is basically the piece on the side of the watch that allows the owner to set the time. The exhibition caseback (glass piece located on the back of the case) also follows the turbine-engine look.Another interesting feature that you will notice about the dressing of the caseback followed by dot linings depicts the surface plating of a plane. There are a total of 3 variations to this collection. The only difference amongst the three is the color on the dials: orange, navy blue, and black.
The clasp of this watch is a deployment clasp, which guarantees that the watch will stay on and not come off unintentionally. The first two links of the stainless steel metal band are tapered followed by untapered links. This particular watch has a remarkable looking design on its band links. The watch has a blend of matte and finished metal links to symbolize the combination of steel plating used on a 1950's airplane.Notice that the watch's band is very intriguing in its design. This is intended to reflect that mechanical look of the pre-modern airplane model into the design of the watch. Not only does this look offer a creative side, but the combination of the blended links with the stainless steel construction gives a 3-dimensional effect.

Orient Men's CFD0C001B Professional Diver Black Automatic Watch Review

The Orient Diver 300m is a truly superlative automatic watch. This is Orient's top of the line watch and everything about it shows how much better it is compared to the other Orients.

Key points of distinction are:

1) A very finely adjusted movement.Mine is accurate to well within 1-2 seconds a day, which is amazing to say the least.COSC (Officially Certified Swiss Chronometer) standards call for -4 to +6 seconds/day and very few Swiss watches are actually officially certified to meet that standard.

2) A monster of a case. The case is big, heavy and will no doubt provide the protection that the movement requires under extreme depth, rated to 300 meters (990 feet).

3) A high-quality steel bracelet. This bracelet has unique pins for sizing; don't try it yourself unless you're an exert. The watch also comes with a rubber strap for diving purists.

4) Power reserve indicator. This is a high-end feature and is quite rare even among high-priced Swiss watches.

Compared to a Rolex Submariner, the Orient 300m is more substantial, more accurate and more distinctive in appearance. On top of all that, this is a true manufacture calibre with all parts, including movement produced in-house.Finally Orient Watch USA provides excellent support for their products from Los Angeles.

Aristo 3H107A Kampfschwimmer II Automatic California Dial, 43mm Watch Review

Aristo 3H107A Kampfschwimmer II Automatic California Dial, 43mm Watch
Average Reviews:

Purchased the watch about six months ago and wear nearly every day for work. The watch when you first get it is bigger than appears but you will grow to like it fast if you are looking for that simple but unique watch. It has good quality and simple features. I was looking for a tough simple but stylish watch for every day general use - this has more than lived up to expectations, the strap is of good quality and should last well (it has so far proven to be very tough with only slight impression from where it is buckled each day). Being automatic, the watch is prone to gaining time (as would be expected) but not excesively, usually fast by about one minute after 5-7 days.

This watch is as beautiful as it looks. If you like a dark green face with a shiny gold-plated band, this is the one for you. Looks like a $3000 watch to me. It's a big watch, and the band is wide, but it's fine for a man. I do receive lots of compliments on it. And, of course, in the two months I've been wearing it, time-keeping has been accurate.

Orient Men's CFTAB002B Power Reserve Semi-Skeleton Black Automatic Watch Review

Orient Men's CFTAB002B Power Reserve Semi-Skeleton Black Automatic Watch

Why did I spend so much money to buy a highly inflated price tag of Swiss made watches( Tag and Movado), when I can have the same quality and an excellent accuracy that is rival to the most expensive Swiss made watches??????????? . I don't know. I guess I got myself sucked into thinking of "Swiss made" is thebest until I came across Orient watches Company. it completely changes my opinion about "Swiss made". So far I have in my collection ten different models of Orient watches from Orient Star( topline) to regular Orients including this one.I am so amazed and still can't believe it that such an excellent craftsmanship , excellent quality and accuracy found in Orient watches are selling for a fraction of the ridiculously inflated price tag of Swiss made watches. Only Orient watches Company can do this bringing to all of us affordable and excellent watches without making us going broke. YOu can't go wrong with Orient In-House Movement Watches. No more Swiss made watches for me.

Product Description:
Orient's semi-skeleton mechanical sports watch offers a sporty look to owners. The bold design gives out an elaborate regard to the consumer's taste.Just from looking at the dial, you will notice the semi-skeleton design that corresponds with the rest of the watch's racecar motif. The watch balances sporty with casual; it is suitable for casual wear to business casual.
This watch is known for its distinctive designs mainly because of its exhibition dial. You will notice the semi-skeleton watch allows for the owner to look into the internal part of the watch. The purpose of this feature is so that the owner can view the movement and the crown (stem or pin).
There are a total of 3 exhibition holes located at the power reserve indicator, the 3 O'clock position, and the 9 o'clock position. One distinguishable design is the impression of the steering wheel at the 9 o'clock position, which covers the balance wheel of the watch. Both the 1950's racing numerals, as well as the time and hour indicators, are luminescent so that they can be viewed during the evening without any difficulty.
The dial faces come in two different colors: black or white. The model variations offer black and white dials for the metal bands, while the leather band models only come in black dials with a choice of black or brown leather. The last variation has a black theme on the dial, the leather band and case.
The case itself is very intricate because of its design. It includes screws around the crown and the case that offers a very mechanical look.If you look at the side of the watch, you can see the prism-shaped caseback and the curved crystal that encompasses the dial of the watch.A racecar windshield influences the unique exhibition caseback for this semi-skeleton.This allows you to view the complication that is powering the watch.
Because the watches are automatic, there are no batteries or electronic capacitors.Right above the exhibition caseback is the official Orient logo. The crown is in an interesting hexagonal shape. The piece has a solid stainless steel construction, and the case withstands water depths of up to 100m.You will also notice that the hexagonal crown is screwed down so that water does not enter the case.
The power reserve indicator specifies the amount of energy, in units of hours, that is stored in the springs of the automatic watches. When the watch is still, it will consume the stored power in the spring. The power reserve indicator lets you know how much power you have left in your spring in units of hours. Just like a gas gauge, you can expect to see the power reserve indicator to go upwards as you are wearing it and decrease if the watch is stationary. At full charge, Orient Watch will run 40 hours without motion. This power reserve indicator is located just under the 12 0' clock position.
The bands come in either metal or genuine leather. The metal bands contain the combination of both finished and unfinished metals. The purpose of this mixture is to create a 3-D look as well as an arrangement of texture to the watch. In both sides of the case, the first couple of links are tapered followed by un-tapered links. The clasp for this metal band watch has a double-locking buckle that guarantees security for the owner so that the watch does not open unintentionally.Near the double locking buckle, there is another Orient logo on the clasp.
The genuine leather bands come in 2 separate colors of either brown or black. Both brown and black bands have white stitching on both edges of the leather band. The leather bands do not have the same clasps as the metal ones.Instead, the leather band uses a deployment clasp, which means you don't have to set the length of the leather band every time you wear the watch.

This watch was a great choice for a Christmas present. My fiance wanted a high-quality, stylish watch. This one is perfect. The photos provided the visuals that I needed before making such an important purchase. Couldn't be happier with the product.

Product Description:
There are two variations to this series. The metal band series exemplifies a timeless look, while the leather band series emphasizes a modern style. This approach allows for a choice between classic and trendy. This is the case because the metal band watch has more classy numerals on the hour indicators. You will notice that the hands and numerals on the metal band watch have more curvature than the bold, sharp hands and numerals of the leather band watch.Either way, both watches accentuate their texture dial, semi-skeleton look, and their exhibition caseback.
When you look closely at the watch, you will notice the interesting texture on the surface of the large dial. This texture simply brings out the other characteristics of the watch. For instance, the semi-skeleton hole over the 9 o'clock indicator is shown more vibrantly. With this feature, the owner can look into the mechanics of the watch.
The second hand, located above the 6 o'clock position, is the only sub-dial on this watch.Additionally, there is the power reserve indicator, which allows you to view how much power is left in the spring of the watch in the unit of hours.Since the watch is mechanical, it has no batteries. Therefore, the watch will automatically store power as it is being worn.
If you look at the side of the watch, you will notice two things.First, you will notice that the case has a beautiful dome crystal.Second, you will see that the crown (time-setting knob) has shoulders to protect it.
When you look at the back of the watch, you will see that the watch has an exhibition caseback. The owner can view the rotor (semi-circular piece that pivots back-and-forth) and the rest of the mechanics of the watch by looking into the caseback.Another feature to this dial is the luminescent hands. This feature eliminates the inconvenience of not being able to view your watch during the night.Last but not least, the watch's water-resistant feature prevents water from entering the case for up to 50 meters.
In this collection, the watches either come in a genuine leather band or a stainless steel metal band. The metal bands come in both matte and finished links. This allows for a two-tone design. One of the best attributes about the clasp of this watch is that this clasp is a butterfly deployment, which makes it more seamless than most deployment clasps.
On the leather bands, you will notice the stitching on the edge. The leather band watches comes with a deployment clasp, which prevents the watch from coming off unintentionally.
There are 5 variations to this watch. The first two variations come in metal bands and with classic numerals. The difference between these two watches is the color of the dial: black and white. The next 3 variations come in leather bands.Within the leather bands, 2 models come in black leather and the other model comes in blue leather. The difference between the two black leather band watches are the dial color and stitching:black dial with red stitching or white dial with white stitching. The last model has a blue leather band, white stitching and a blue dial.
