(More customer reviews)This is an absolutely gorgeous watch and one of the best I've seen from Victorinox.It is a discontinued timepiece and amazon is one of the few remaining places you can find it for a good price.I was a bit hesitant to buy the watch from an unauthorized dealer but after some thought I became confident in buying from amazon-they do, after all, have a reputation to uphold and provide a good warranty.The watch is engraved with the swiss product number (V.25162) and the complete packaging comes with a EAN (european bar #) and ASIN.Do not expect a serial number engraved on this watch, as it has been distributed on the european market.This is a really beautiful watch, heavyset 15mm thick case and you can tell its of the highest quality (top of the line swiss army).I contacted Victorinox directly regarding this watch on amazon and here is the dialogue:

(More customer reviews)I've had this watch (with a brown band & tachymeter dial) for about a year and think it looks great.The crystal is very clear and the watch still shines when clean.All mechanics have worked flawlessly as well and is comfortable on my wrist, band is smooth and has padding, just takes a little while to break in.It's a fairly big watch and easy to read.My main complaint is with the band - both leather rings after the clasp that hold the strap in place broke after about 6 mos. of daily wear.It seems like a very minor thing, but without those rings the band constantly gets bent back due to it catching on things which is an annoyance.I'm not sure if they broke because I work at a desk and they were rubbing while I type or what.I find this pathetic for a supposed $400 watch (I didn't pay that much where I bought this thankfully).I had a warranty so I received a new band for free, but I have a feeling the little rings will break again eventually.Why ESQ had to overlook this minor, yet important detail, is beyond me.If not for this I probably would give it 5 stars.

There are two variations to this series.The metal band series exemplifies a timeless look, while the leather band series emphasizes a modern style.This approach allows for a choice between classic and trendy.This is the case because the metal band watch has more classy numerals on the hour indicators. You will notice that the hands and numerals on the metal band watch have more curvature than the bold, sharp hands and numerals of the leather band watch.Either way, both watches accentuate their texture dial, semi-skeleton look, and their exhibition caseback.
When you look closely at the watch, you will notice the interesting texture on the surface of the large dial.This texture simply brings out the other characteristics of the watch.For instance, the semi-skeleton hole over the 9 o'clock indicator is shown more vibrantly.With this feature, the owner can look into the mechanics of the watch.
The second hand, located above the 6 o'clock position, is the only sub-dial on this watch.Additionally, there is the power reserve indicator, which allows you to view how much power is left in the spring of the watch in the unit of hours.Since the watch is mechanical, it has no batteries.Therefore, the watch will automatically store power as it is being worn.
If you look at the side of the watch, you will notice two things.First, you will notice that the case has a beautiful dome crystal.Second, you will see that the crown (time-setting knob) has shoulders to protect it.

In this collection, the watches either come in a genuine leather band or a stainless steel metal band.The metal bands come in both matte and finished links.This allows for a two-tone design.One of the best attributes about the clasp of this watch is that this clasp is a butterfly deployment, which makes it more seamless than most deployment clasps.
On the leather bands, you will notice the stitching on the edge.The leather band watches comes with a deployment clasp, which prevents the watch from coming off unintentionally.

Because the watches are automatic, there are no batteries or electronic capacitors.Right above the exhibition caseback is the official Orient logo.The crown is in an interesting hexagonal shape.The piece has a solid stainless steel construction, and the case withstands water depths of up to 100m.You will also notice that the hexagonal crown is screwed down so that water does not enter the case.
The power reserve indicator specifies the amount of energy, in units of hours, that is stored in the springs of the automatic watches. When the watch is still, it will consume the stored power in the spring. The power reserve indicator lets you know how much power you have left in your spring in units of hours. Just like a gas gauge, you can expect to see the power reserve indicator to go upwards as you are wearing it and decrease if the watch is stationary. At full charge, Orient Watch will run 40 hours without motion.This power reserve indicator is located just under the 12 0' clock position.
The bands come in either metal or genuine leather. The metal bands contain the combination of both finished and unfinished metals.The purpose of this mixture is to create a 3-D look as well as an arrangement of texture to the watch.In both sides of the case, the first couple of links are tapered followed by un-tapered links.The clasp for this metal band watch has a double-locking buckle that guarantees security for the owner so that the watch does not open unintentionally.Near the double locking buckle, there is another Orient logo on the clasp.
The genuine leather bands come in 2 separate colors of either brown or black.Both brown and black bands have white stitching on both edges of the leather band. The leather bands do not have the same clasps as the metal ones.Instead, the leather band uses a deployment clasp, which means you don't have to set the length of the leather band every time you wear the watch.

(More customer reviews)I purchased this watch from a retailer with a tag price of $750.00 cdn. I have to say I was quite impressed with the craftmanship. It's a fairly large watch at 45mm but the excellent leather strap makes it very wearable. I looked at quite a few Swiss Army watches at this location and I am quite certain there will be more than one in my collection. I offered the salesman $700.00taxes included and walked away a happy consumer. I feel if you're looking for a sharp watch at a fairly reasonable price then definitely look at the Swiss Army brand. (More customer reviews)A little background on how I found this watch: I am informally a watch collector, sans a respectable collection, but I do enjoy the culture of watches...enough that I drool over IWC and Audemars Piguets whenever I see one in the collectors' forum that I frequent. After looking at countless beautiful black leather-strapped, white-faced watches that I could never in my life afford, I had to get my hands on something that has the looks of high-class without the price tag of high-class.

Naturally, I wanted a Swiss brand because they are very well known for their superior watchmaking skills, and I eventually came to this Victorinox Chronograph Classic.

The style of this watch is universal--very acceptable to wear casually with shorts and a T-shirt and also just as appropriate for the more formal occasions involving dress shirts and the like. This piece's white face contrasts well with the beveled numbers, which are significantly, but not distractingly, larger than most other watches. The three subdials are subtle: they blend in with the white face, as to not distract attention from the main dial. The glow-in-the-dark material is well placed, perfectly complementing the black finish on the second and hour hands. Sapphire Crystal is incredibly resistant to scratches and also shines beautifully when wiped down with any kind of cloth; it should be known that the material you're paying the most for is what's on the dial window anyway.

The craftsmanship on this watch is worth every penny. I highly recommend the Classic Chrono...it's a great entry-level piece, and I appreciate it more and more every time I take it off.

First, look for Tissot with metalic strap, between us$250 - us$350, but, when i see this watch i like it inmediatly, the combination of the dising and the colour remember me the antique watches mixed with today style, i dont know, but it's look better put in your wrist.

Great leather strap, excelent presentation in a big elegant box and the seller it too fast.

I have used for a month before making my recomendation. I do not regret at all.
