(More customer reviews)Purchased the watch about six months ago and wear nearly every day for work.The watch when you first get it is bigger than appears but you will grow to like it fast if you are looking for that simple but unique watch.It has good quality and simple features. I was looking for a tough simple but stylish watch for every day general use - this has more than lived up to expectations, the strap is of good quality and should last well (it has so far proven to be very tough with only slight impression from where it is buckled each day). Being automatic, the watch is prone to gaining time (as would be expected) but not excesively, usually fast by about one minute after 5-7 days.

Modeled after a 1940's vintage German watch, the Kampschmimmer II is powered by a modern Swiss ETA 2824-2 movement that is viewable via an exhibition case back. The 43MM stainless steel case has been sandblasted to give it a vintage finish. Aristo chose short angled lugs to allow for greater comfort on your wrist and a distinctive diamond cut crown makes for easy time settings. A combination of luminous markers and Arabic numbers are used on the black dial along with luminous hour and minute hands. A domed mineral crystal completes the look and the date is shown at 3:00. I live in Finland so I really don't know what to do (in case of a refund) but I'm really, really pissed of since it was broken as purchased. In case of an expensive watch I do think that the seller should have checked that it works before sending it.

(More customer reviews)My Rogue Warrior Red Cell arrived yesterday.It was packaged very carefully, and the watch box itself was not expensive but very nice.Inside the box, the watch was carefully protected by being wrapped around a pillow and nestled inside a nylon pouch.This watch could have survived easily being tossed off the side of a building!

This is clearly a rugged military watch.The workmanship is excellent.The numbers and hands are easily seen and functional.The GMT hand is also easily seen for practical use.It's a very stout watch and larger than I expected, but surprisingly comfortable to wear.The band is a high quality rubber-material and also very comfortable.The crystal is very clear, non-glare and no doubt high quality.(It appears to have the quality and clarity of a high end Swiss mechanical.)

I highly recommend this watch to anyone wanting a tough and very functional military watch.The uniqueness and beauty of this watch also makes it a great candidate for a watch collection.

(More customer reviews)First off the watch looks much better in person than it does in the few (lousy) photos online.It's pretty beefy at 42mm. There is also a 48mm version of the same watch which is simply gigantic, but that seems to be the trend these days.It keeps accurate time. I just bought mine a week ago so I haven't slammed it around much but it feels really strong so far. One great feature is the tritium (always on radioactive glowing material encased in small glass tubes) that you're able to see in the dark. They're placed at each hour and on the hands. Yes, it's radioactive material on your wrist!Amazingly the stuff always glows - never gets dim and is guaranteed to last 25 years.It also makes cheap replicas difficult to produce since this material has to be approved by the government before entering the usa.Very few companies have permission. The only downside is the manual.It's worthless and doesn't explain anything about this model watch or what the 2 buttons do. One seems to reset the chrono while the other starts it... but that's all I can figure out so far. I normally go for automatic movement (no batteries needed) but this watch was so cool looking I had to get it.

(More customer reviews)I spent a considerable amount of time studying watches before making a purchase, because I really knew nothing about them. I discovered that, up to a certain rather lofty price point (two or three grand or even more), many watches use the same exact movements, with the main differences in the watch being the style and execution. Oh, and the brand name. That'll jack up the price, irrespective of the inherent quality. So, after all was said and done (and after realizing that what I really wanted was a Zenith "El Primero" -- oh yeah!), I was at least able to come up with a criteria for a watch that I might be able to afford.

I did not want to spend more than $1000. I wanted a relatively clean, uncluttered face. So many watches are so busy looking that you cannot simply glance at them and tell the time! The watch had to be Swiss made. Whether it was a quartz or mechanical movement mattered not to me, since both have their + and - aspects. It also had to have a sapphire crystal, and be able to withstand constant immersion in the ocean, since I live in Hawaii. And, I came to want a watch with tritium markers, after realizing that a watch that you can't see in all lighting conditions is pretty worthless and that even "superluminova" only lasts for so long.

When all was said and done, I settled on this watch. I uploaded a few pics, so as you can see I changed the stock brown leather band to a black silicone sport watchband by Toscana that has a Rolex "Oyster" style design and an extra heavy-duty 6.00mm thick band. I think it matches up with the black markers on the face quite nicely, and the thickness goes well with this rather thick timepiece.

As to the watch itself, it is really an eye catcher. I think it's the best looking watch Luminox makes, hands down. I looked at so many straight ahead dive watches from different makers. I came to hate the sameness in all of their looks. Perhaps functional, but kinda ugly. And many dressier-style watches were simply unsuitable for the kind of use/abuse to which I will subject a watch. This Luminox fits the bill for me in all respects, especially with its 200m water resistance. It has a screw-down crown, which is essential for real ocean use. And, its 200m rating should be sufficient for swimming, snorkeling, bodyboarding, etc. Plus it's nice and big, but not too big, and the numbers are easy to see at a glance.

This is a bargain at the price. I recommend it.
