These are my observations during the first 12 months after product purchase:
1. The sapphire glass is VERY scratch resistant.
NOT a single scratch, even though the watch is exposed to yard work and to metal parts in a stamping plant.
2. The metal wrist band does show scratches, which is acceptable, because I don't take any precaution to protect the watch in tough environments.
3. The black paint of the numbers on the rotating bezel came off, for the same reason, see item 2.
4. I went swimming and snorkeling: no problems at all

The design of the watch is simple, but beautiful:
-The housing is slim
-The clock face has a unique appearance without sacrificing functionality.
-The wrist band is out of sturdy, stainless steel, beautifully manufactured.

(More customer reviews)I recently purchased the WAF2110.BA0806 Aquaracer from Amazon. Before I move on, let's get the fact right: the size of this watch is 38.4mm, not 43mm. You can get the definitive information from Tag Heuer's web site.

The Calibre 5 automatic movement inside this watch is the same ETA 2824-2 that powers numerous mess-produced watches that cost less than one-fifth as much as the Aquaracer. If you want the most movement for your money, go get an Omega or Oris. Tag Heuer have a high level of brand recognition here in the US but that's not because they have the best movements (hint: smart marketing). I bought this watch because: 1) it looks good on my wrist (tried it on at my local mall).2) it's less expensive than, say, the SeaMaster.

Right out of the box I sync'ed it up with the offical us time website. Three days later I check it again and I couldn't believe my eyes - it gained only 2 seconds! Let me tell you this: this is THE most accurate mechanical watch I've ever heard of, period. Well, it may be just dumb luck.Maybe as time goes by it's accuracy will drift away. But as of now, I am a happy-as-a-clam Tag owner.

(More customer reviews)Nice looking watch, but had problems from the beginning with my wrist turning black (wouldn't expect from a $1500 watch). After a year and a half the battery went dead, or so I thought. $475 later the internals were rebuilt and 1 year 7 months later the pins started falling out of the band. Tag customer service was far less than helpful, way less than friendly even. They started making excuses - "Do you wear the watch in the shower? Because the steam will damage it and void the warranty." etc, etc.

The watch sits in my drawer, can't find any one who can get new pins for the band and last time I sent it out (well, see above)...Makes a nice paperweight, but in the meantime my backup pulsar is still working after 5 years, on the same battery!

Saw this watch at a high end jeweler Bailey Banks & Biddle that was closing at a local mall.It was marked all the way down to 60% (plus 9.5% sales tax).I was ready to jump on it only to realize I did not have my wallet with me.So I asked a salesperson to hold it for me while I rushed home to get my wallet.That actually saved me hundreds of $$$!

When I got home I searched online to see what kinds of deals were out there.And I found the best price on Amazon, my most trusted online merchant, which means I didn't have to worry about shady orquestionable 'bait-n-switch' merchants.I called the store to tell them I've changed my mind and promptly placed the order with Amazon.Even got free '2nd Day' shipping.!!!

Now the watch.This is my second TAG Heuer and it has the same solid quality build that you can feel just by holding it in your hand.The stainless steel band is flawless and shiny.The yellow dial gives it a sporty yet luxurious look.The crown and buttons are easy to work with.My only somewhat negative takes are 1) The digital read out is a bit difficult to see - but pressing the crown provides a backlight that eases it; and 2) The case is a little too 'thick' for my liking.

I already ordered the interchangeable rubber strap that will give it the complete sporty feel.Overall, this will be one of my favorite watches in my collection.
