These are my observations during the first 12 months after product purchase:
1. The sapphire glass is VERY scratch resistant.
NOT a single scratch, even though the watch is exposed to yard work and to metal parts in a stamping plant.
2. The metal wrist band does show scratches, which is acceptable, because I don't take any precaution to protect the watch in tough environments.
3. The black paint of the numbers on the rotating bezel came off, for the same reason, see item 2.
4. I went swimming and snorkeling: no problems at all

The design of the watch is simple, but beautiful:
-The housing is slim
-The clock face has a unique appearance without sacrificing functionality.
-The wrist band is out of sturdy, stainless steel, beautifully manufactured.

If you are the same, DO NOT BUY this watch!Within a week, I started to see my sleek black watch band start to turn silver.The black coating seemed to melt away and leave a silver mess.Now I need to wonder if replacing the band will solve my problem or renew it.I do however, like the luminous dial and comfort this watch offers. It's always easy to read in the day of night. So I Love it and Hate it!

The stainless steel watch case and bracelet band are finished with a black PVD coating (Physical Vapour Deposition), which provides a fashionable exclamation point as well as improves wear and corrosion properties. The round watch case is topped by a unidirectional rotating bezel that features black engraved elapsed time markings, a luminous zero point, and coin-edged detailing for a sure grip under any condition. Befitting its more sporty orientation, the black dial face includes luminous Arabic numeral hour markers, small minute indexes, luminous baton hands (with seconds hand), and a date window at 4 o'clock. This chronograph can time events down to 1/10 of a second and it includes three round subdials that display minutes, seconds, and tenths of seconds.

(More customer reviews)Without providing a huge explanation of every feature, I want to say how incredibly beautiful this watch is in person.It is incredibly well made, much lighter than I thought it would be considering how beefy and masculine looking it is, and the quality is outstanding.The warranty is untouched by the competition.

And everyone LOVES IT.I get so many compliments. It seems like not a day goes by that someone doesn't notice my watch.And the comments are always rave.What is that, is that a MOVADO?Wow!

I am not a diver, so I cannot speak to that, but this watch has been through the wringer, and I have taken it swimming, boating, gardening, literally everywhere, and it still looks great when I get dressed up.Not a scratch in over a year!!

I could speak to each feature, but I think it best to just say that it delivers what Movado is famous for, STYLE, and adds QUALITY to the mix.

Adding extra elegance along with the added benefit of split second timing, this chronograph can time events down to 1/10 of a second and it includes three round subdials that display minutes, seconds, and tenths of seconds. Also befitting its more sporty orientation, the wavy orange dial is complemented by luminous bar hour markers, small minute indexes, and a date window at 4 o'clock. It features oversized luminous hands and a red seconds hand with a luminous dot at its base. Finally, it includes silver-tone tachymeter readings around the outer edge of the dial, which can be used for measuring time over distance. This precisely timed watch has a Swiss-made quartz movement, which is accurate to 60 seconds per year.

How to Use a Tachymeter
A tachymeter is an instrument for measuring speed. It is a chronograph with a graduated dial on which speed can be read off in kilometers per hour based on 1000 meters distance. For example, the chronograph indicates that the distance of one kilometer has been covered in 30 seconds. The corresponding point on the tachymeter scale indicates 120, and thus the speed is 120km per hour.
