(More customer reviews)I just bought this watch a couple of weeks ago and so far I have no regrets.My previous watch was a Fossil, so this is a major upgrade.I was a little bit unsure about paying $650 for a watch since I could lose it or break it.However, I am definitely enjoying my new TAG.I thought that when you consider that it will probably last 10 or 20 years (possibly even more), $30-$60 a year to own a TAG isn't that much money.

Two helpful notes that I wish I had known right when I received this watch:

1.If you want to turn the dial on the top that serves as a timer for diving, it is much easier if you push down rather than turn from the sides.It's more of a push and turn than squeeze the sides and try to turn.

2.The crown has to unscrew before it can pop out.When you want to adjust the time/date on a lot of other watches, you just pull the crown out to different positions.This watch requires you to unscrew the crown from a tight position to make adjustments.You should make sure you screw it back in properly before submerging it, the watch IS NOT WATER RESISTANT if the crown is not fully tightened.

I guess this is in the instructions but it took me a couple minutes to figure it out.You don't want to damage the watch by trying to pull the crown out while it is screwed in.

These are my observations during the first 12 months after product purchase:
1. The sapphire glass is VERY scratch resistant.
NOT a single scratch, even though the watch is exposed to yard work and to metal parts in a stamping plant.
2. The metal wrist band does show scratches, which is acceptable, because I don't take any precaution to protect the watch in tough environments.
3. The black paint of the numbers on the rotating bezel came off, for the same reason, see item 2.
4. I went swimming and snorkeling: no problems at all

The design of the watch is simple, but beautiful:
-The housing is slim
-The clock face has a unique appearance without sacrificing functionality.
-The wrist band is out of sturdy, stainless steel, beautifully manufactured.

The Omega Story
The Omega watch story begins in 1848, when founder Louis Brandt began hand assembling key-wound precision pocket watches from parts supplied by local craftsmen in his principality La Chaux-de-Fonds, in the northwest corner of Switzerland. However, the Omega name didn't appear until 1894, after Louis Brandt had passed away and his watchmaking traditions were taken over by his sons, Louis-Paul and Cesar Brandt. (More customer reviews)I recently purchased the WAF2110.BA0806 Aquaracer from Amazon. Before I move on, let's get the fact right: the size of this watch is 38.4mm, not 43mm. You can get the definitive information from Tag Heuer's web site.

The Calibre 5 automatic movement inside this watch is the same ETA 2824-2 that powers numerous mess-produced watches that cost less than one-fifth as much as the Aquaracer. If you want the most movement for your money, go get an Omega or Oris. Tag Heuer have a high level of brand recognition here in the US but that's not because they have the best movements (hint: smart marketing). I bought this watch because: 1) it looks good on my wrist (tried it on at my local mall).2) it's less expensive than, say, the SeaMaster.

Right out of the box I sync'ed it up with the offical us time website. Three days later I check it again and I couldn't believe my eyes - it gained only 2 seconds! Let me tell you this: this is THE most accurate mechanical watch I've ever heard of, period. Well, it may be just dumb luck.Maybe as time goes by it's accuracy will drift away. But as of now, I am a happy-as-a-clam Tag owner.

Its my second TAG a great swiss made quartz watch and a great value.

I am banking on the Amazon.com vs. the Tag warranty, but the savings outweighs the warranty concerns
