The watch is very strong. Also I love how the face of the watch flips around so it the face of the watch dosen't get damaged. I really am pleased with the beautiful gold coloring or the watch. (More customer reviews)This watch was received in good order from Amazon directly.The watch has more protective film than I have seen on any item I have ever seen.I immediately took all of the film to get a good look at my purchase which was a mistake, but I will get to that later.The watch is beautiful.

I took my watch to have it sized at an authorized Movado dealer (found on Movado.com).The person who sized my watch was used to full links and half links.This watch has large one & a half links (1.5) and half links (1/3 the size of the one & a half link).Well the person took the right amount of links out (by chance), though it was all on one side and the watch felt tight because of the way the hidden clasp is designed.Per this person when they sized watches the bottom is usually longer than the top to accommodate most watch clasps.This protocol was used throughout the many trial and error resizes until we hit a near symmetrical (both sided even) of the very first amount of links taken out.So, make sure when you resize have them keep the link removal even because the hidden clasp is symmetrical.

After I got my newly resized watch I noticed small scratches on the bracelet.They were pretty much superficial, though even with Amazon's bargain price this is still an expensive watch.If I had kept the protective film on I bet this would not have happened.

I've had this watch for about a month and wear it every day.It gets scratches mainly on the small highly polished squared on the bracelet because I have it on when I play with my kids, go shopping in the home improvement store, and other watch scratching activities.There is also one small scratch on the brushed area and no scratches on the crystal (the crystal should never get any damage unless you are rubbing it against sapphire or diamond).I wipe the watch down with a jeweler's cloth before I go out and it looks near flawless from two feet away.

From what I gathered from included documentation, Movado does not carry the warranty, Amazon does.

(More customer reviews)I purchased this Cartier men's tank as a gift and it has been nothing but trouble.First of all, Amazon sent me the wrong watch in the correct Cartier box, sendinga smaller, less expensive version.I had to pay $60.00 (which was refunded) to send the watch back and then waited a full month before my credit card was corrected (after numerous calls to Amazon Customer Service).Normally, Amazon credits back returns quickly but not so with "luxury items".They must first be verified that a fake was not substituted for the real thing but they don't tell you that on any screen during checkout.I did reorder this item, thinking that it was an honest mistake (and I was sucked in by the fantastic price) butI really regret it.Now, the new watch has stopped keeping time after one month and I cannot take it to a Cartier store for service unless I pay for it.Otherwise, I must send it along to Amazon for service.God knows how long that will take.Don't get sucked in by the cheap price.I wish I had bought this item at a Cartier store and not gone through this hassle.Beware!!Update: the watch was taken to Cartier, and while genuine, is an older model that needed complete servicing inside for $500.After the Cartier servicing the watch works perfectly.So beware buying a "new" watch from Amazon - it may be an older model that has sat on the shelf for several years and may not function properly. if you attempt to return it after 30 days because it has stopped working, they will not accept the return (even after their telephone representative promises to accept the return).If you have removed a link to fit your arm, they will refuse the return even if you return all links.You will never have the benefit of the manufacturers warranty and the warranty booklet will not be stamped by an authorized dealer.

Chuck Norris riding into the Super Bowl on the back of Godzilla and round house kicking the crowd is no where near as awesome as this priceless poon magnet. When I was just moments from sending my $100k to some needy neo-hippie help group, I stumbled onto this gem. It was like the heavens opened and Jesus himself appeared with this same watch on. I mean how can you not follow Jesus when he's rocking a watch of this caliber. So I asked "What would Jesus do?" Jesus pimp smacked me and said "Forget those hippies, buy the watch!" I was like "HECK YEAH." I busted out my Discover card and bought this rocking piece of art. I mean its art but its also practical too. Like when I take my summer trips to the Marianas Trench, I have no more worries that I am going to miss Tea Time back on the yacht, because water ruined my watch again. It can withstand the immense pressures of the deep due to the wicked awesome titanium. Deep seas, cant beat this. Bullets cant beat this. Heck, I can deflect cruise missiles and the apocalypse. With a watch like this you don't need to tell time, you tell people what time it is.

Founded by Raymond Weil in 1976, and bearing his name, this Swiss company has become a well established, reputable manufacturer of watches, and is still being run by the family. Their line of watches has LIST prices starting at $17,500 and ending around $650 (making on-line prices from 8,500 to 350). If you buy the watch at an authorized dealer i.e. high end jeweler, you can expect to pay anything from list to 80%. Most of their models are Swiss Quartz but Swiss made automatics do populate the higher priced models.

I purchased this model at a mall watch store in late 2002 and paid $600; the most expensive I have ever purchased. So the price here is a bargain, and about the lowest I have seen on-line. Also it comes FULFILLED from Amazon so if you don't like it or it's defective AT LEAST YOU CAN DEAL DIRECTLY WITH THEM and not the seller. I had to do this recently with another watch purchase and it was pretty hassle free.

This is about the cheapest watch they make.

Pros:

The dial is simple yet very classy looking.
The bezel is gold plated, as are the 3 center connecting links in the bracelet. Very attactive.
At only 6mm thick the case can easily be worn with barrel or french cuffed dress shirts.
At 38.5mm the case is somewhat small compared to the current trend in men's watches (i.e. the size of a Big Ben alarm clock with a strap). Still, it's understated and very classy.
Sapphire crystal (to be expected at this price) for superior scratch resistance.
Extremely well manufactured case and bracelet.
Double deployant clasp.
Quartz movement for accurate time keeping, and unlike mechanical they rarely malfunction, require no maintenance and are cheap to replace if needed.
Wear from formal down to casual.
Prestige Swiss watchmaking company. (Check out their website)

Cons:

Deployant clasp lacks button lock. (Mine has come open during vigorous applause during some concerts)
There is no sweep second hand, so you will not get accuracy to the second.
Quartz movement means you will have to have the battery changed, and lacks the cache a mechanical or automatic mechanical movement has.
If you want BLING, this is not the watch.
Not much water resistance so DO NOT: wear it swimming, diving, washing the car, washing the dishes, or showering. It does not have a screw down crown.Remember,this is a dress watch, so treat it as such. I have now doubt the movement can stand allot of abuse, but you will only scratch the bezel, bracelet, or crystal if you start working on your car engine, play softball or go rock climbing and, like a new car, you will be sad when you get your first ding on it.
Also be warned that if you size your own watch bracelets (remove links to fit your wrist) be careful of this one. The links are not connected by knockout pins like most in this price range. They are actually threaded at one end and designed to be screwed in and out. I found this very easy to do after buying a set of inexpensive jewelery screwdrivers.

I highly recommend this watch. After eight years mine still looks and runs great. Take a look at the photos I have included above, which were taken a few days prior to posting this review.Paul
