(More customer reviews)This is a very beautiful watch. The red hands of the "alarm clock" on the left side of the watch contrasts beautifully with the black background. Synthetic sapphire glass has very little reflection. Bezel turns very well, not too tight.

The matt surface band makes it less likely to sustain scratches.

(More customer reviews)I had tried on a variety of Tag Heuer Formula 1 watches before buying this watch (Grande date without chronograph, chronograph, etc.) but was looking for something with a little more.This watch definitely has that something extra.It is very solid and heavy but yet doesn't feel that way when on your wrist, it is surprisingly comfortable to wear (you forget you have it on quite quickly which I credit to the band).The face is large (something I look for in a watch) and with the contrasting sections on the face it really stands out.The band is VERY comfortable and the best of any watch I have worn, the links have just enough play to be comfortable.All in all a 10/10 I would say.Also, the pictures on Amazon don't do it justice, google images of this watch and you will see there is more detail to the face, it really is striking.

I guess the only down side is that if you are looking for a white face it is slightly silver-ish (only slightly) and not a true white, but that wasn't a huge downfall for me.

(More customer reviews)I waited until I was 46 to buy my first high end watch - and I took my time looking around. I have a narrow wrist - and most men's watches look and feel huge. My preference is a dive watch with a rubber band - but again it had to be under 40mm diameter and not too thick - which rules out most automatic movement models, (although I do think they are very desirable.)

So I started looking - used, new, in stores, online, etc. I tried on a Tag Heuer Aquaracer 2000 at my local Jeweler and found the perfect watch for me. Instead of the $1200 the jeweler wanted I bought the silver-faced model from Amazon for $770. I thought I'd spend $1000-$1500 so I was thrilled.

I teach film and video and sail so I abuse my watches. The Tag came through without a scratch. I liked it so much I bought the same model w/ black face a month later. They are the perfect watches for me - the silver face with a slightly more dressy look - and the black face is classic. I'm not looking to impress anyone - so the Aquaracer's understated design works for me.

(More customer reviews)I purchased this watch a year ago and have worn it a good deal since. I liked the size of the case and the masculine styling. It keeps perfect time and has proven to be incredibly durable despite taking several good knocks. The combination of a sapphire crystal, titanium carbide for the bezel, crown & crown guards and hardened, aerospace grade stainless steel for the case and bracelet make it shrug off the little scuffs and scrapes that will quickly mar most watches. I highly recommend it if you are in the market for a tough, high quality timepiece.

(More customer reviews)Bought watch at Longs Jewelers in Burlington MA.The stem (the part you wind up) has popped out three times.The first time, they fixed it under warranty.The second time, it was no longer under warranty, so Tag charged me $275.The watch came back and a week later the stem was gone again.I stuffed it in a drawer for a few months (angry) and when I finally got around to going back to the jeweler, Tag said me it would be another $275 as the warranty had expired.Shame on me for not bringing it back quicker but frankly I am sick of these guys.The jeweler (Long's Jeweler in Burlington Mass, useless and unhelpful) said warranty decisions from Tag are final.

I only wore this watch to work (desk job) a few times.It was in no way used "incorrectly" nor abused nor hit on anything nor even worn during any type of strenuous activity.The third time the stem came out, I had never even would or unwound it.Maybe I just got a lemon.

But my first Tag also had problems. It's a now discontinued model with a problem where the watch would fall off because the metal band was designed in such a way that the pins would come loose. I still have it, works fine, just sometimes the band splits open and it falls off your wrist.So I can't really use it.

If Tag would fix the problem I would be satisfied.But to charge me $275 twice for the same problem is just wrong. Never buying a Tag again.
