However the dial is such a dark purple that one can barely tell its a stone and not just a solid piece of plastic. Additionally, the winder came broken. I have since sent it back for a refund. The new tungsten lapis by SWI is wonderful! The stone is clear and blue like it should be and is a winner if you can handle the weight of an all tungsten watch. Overall a 3 star because I bought it for the Lapis and I can't tell it is Lapis without a flash light.

Irrespective, I really do like it and use it when I choose (I've a fairly significant collection). As a consequence much of its time is spent in the auto winder. Only problem is that it doesn't keep time while in the auto winder. Meaning that's the point - with an auto winder it should keep time. But alas, perhaps I'm expecting too much.

When on my wrist though it looks great, is imposing, a little special in appearance and does keep the time well. Worth the price for sure.

(More customer reviews)I received this watch today, and although it is a good looking watch, I am certainly glad I didn't pay the suggested retail.It comes in a nice double gift box (outer and inner) and includes easy to follow instructions written for all their watch types.While I like the face of the watch (the part you mostly see in the advert), what surprised me was how thick the watch is.That's my fault, though, as the 13 millimeters is clearly labeled in the product description. For a $250 automatic watch, I have no complaints.If I paid the suggested retail of $1,495, I'd send it back in a heartbeat. There are many automatic calendar watches that are equally attractive and much slimmer for half the suggested retail price.

The wristband does have a fast-locking on and off buckle--the kind where once you get the watch set to fit your wrist, a metal clasp unfolds to slip the watch on and off without having to unbuckle it again (that's what "deployment push button clasp with buckle" means).I have this feature on other watches I own, and it greatly extends the life while reducing wear and tear on the wristband.

So, in summary:a great buy for $249 - $299.Plus it has a five year warranty.I just got it, so don't know about durability yet, but it looks and feels like good workmanship.

The screw down time adjust is not impossible to use, it is a high-end watch feature for water proofing (like Rolex etc.) If you gently screw the dial counter clock-wise till it pops out then you can adjust the time and/or date. Then gently push in while screwing it back in. This will insure that your watch is capable of being emersed in water up to 330 feet. LOVE,LOVE,LOVE, this watch! Every bit as lovely and high quality as a designer watch that costs thousands. Buy with confidence. :)

It is actually a purple, not blue.Over all.The worst piece of just you could buy.It is a very, "sloppy" movement.Hard to set as it is difficult to know what position the crown is in when you pull it out.You would be better off wearing a sun dial on your wrist.
