The disadvantages:
* the digital display is often obscured by the analogue hands.
* the digital display is rudimentary - poor format for date, digits only.
* no countdown timer.The competition:
If you really want a watch that does all the things routinely expected of a digital watch plus temperature, altitude and compass, look at Casio and Suunto.They have several models that do it all, with a clearer, more easily read display plus extra features like recording temperature and altitude.And they are cheaper.

In summary, the Tissot is for status, but if you want a tool that will do the job, get a Casio or Suunto.

I have had the Tissot for about 2 weeks.I will sell it and go back to my 15 year old Casio Alti-Thermo.

I purchased this watch and was relatively pleased for about two months before it started to poop out on me, after replacing the battery at my own cost, I finally contacted customer service. After a long ordeal, I was able to get someone to send a replacement thanks to watch. When I received it, it was shortened by a few links. So after getting it up and running again....it once again crapped out on me. Then when I contact customer service, they tell me that the COMPANY HAS FOLDED AND THEY NO LONGER HONOR THE WARRANTY....(read, I'm SOL)
its nice to be appreciated, DON'T BUY THIS DAMN THING

I like the look and baught a new one.
Do not expect any help from The National Geographic in case of damage to your wach. The watch is signed on their name and that's it.
Conclusion, very nice looking product, not very reliable.

(More customer reviews)Great watch but for a list price of $900 you would expect it to last for more then 2 1/2 years. The whole multi function including display just stopped working one day. And I have been treating it like a precious baby, no diving, no swimming, not even bringing it to the beach. Believing it was only a battery replacement I sent it off to Tissot, but NO. Tissot have quoted me a cost of repair (replacement of: multi function/movement exchange) for $400!!!! 6 months after warranty expiry.
