The pocket watch is a bit bigger than normal. Quality is nice, it has a nice weight to it, and it fits comfortably in the pocket.

Pros:
1 Larger than average size
2 Face of the watch is very nice (it was a factor in my purchase)
3 Keeps accurate time (sounds strange, but my last pocket watch did not)
4 No battery to be replaced. You will need to wind it up each day

Cons:
1 The watch hands are sometimes hard to see. The hands on the watch are very thin, and placed against the see through background (silver in color) the watch hands tough to see in certain lite.
2 since it is a wind up watch you can hear the ticking of the watch. I am not sure if this is a good or bad thing however I can hear it ticking away during the night.

The watch opens up on both sides of the pocket watch. The hinges are located on the 9 o'clock side. You can also see the inside of the watch (kinda cool).

I don't have any real concerns, however I wonder if it warrants the price. With this said...I am keeping it and hope to enjoy it for years!

(More customer reviews)I ordered the Sterling Silver Quartz watch and a compatable Charles-Hubert leather watch pouch because of my penchant for destroying wrist watches, their bands and band attachments. They become clobbered by my lifestyle and don't last long.
The actual watch departs somewhat from the description of the item on this page. The differences are good ones as the listed diameter of 46mm understates the actual measured diameter. By my calipers, the watch is just a bit less than 1.9 inches or 47.4 mm. Thickness comes out to .51- inch or almost 13mm.Looking at internet watch vendors, I see this particular model, #3750 is universally described as having a scratch resistant mineral crystal rather than the "plastic" listed here. The Amazon price is favorable compared to that of some of the other vendors. The pictures are perfectly representative of the details of the watch-likely a good predictor of what the item will look like as it takes on character due to the natural tendency of silver to tarnish. New, the actual watch has a much higher polish.

After a couple of days, it appears that the regulation is going to be as accurate as is expected of quarz watches.
* One month later,as anticipated, the watch is within one minute of exact time. very glad I made this purchase.
As advertised the Charles-Hubert watch comes with a chain and belt clip and presentation case with operating instructions and customer service information

(More customer reviews)This is a very attractive sterling silver cased pocket watch.Mine was well regulated gaining about one minute in a weeks time. This was much better than a very high dollar swiss watch that I purchased at about the same time. A positive aspect for the easily amused is that you can see the mechanism in motion when you open the case.The negative factor is that for people with imperfect vision, is that lack of contrast makes it hard to see the hands against the hour numerals and determine the time at a glance.
