(More customer reviews)I bought this watch in black a few days ago, I'm very happy and I love the way it looks - but there are some minor issues:
Great looks to one side, it is just a quartz watch with limited features; the crown doesn't screw down and only allows changes to the time and date. If you want the day to display correctly and it's three days behind, you have to wind the watch forward three days. It's a minor hassle.
The instruction booklet that comes with the watch is useless - it gives instructions for several different Haurex watches - but not this style.
You won't find any instructions on how to change the size of the watch band - on mine, I risked breaking the watch before I found out the part of the clasp that levers open. Good luck with that.
'HAUREX' is written around the side of the watch - it looks fine, but you won't see it clearly on the web photos.
The hands and numbers on the face are all in mirror-finish silver, not white as appears in the photos. This makes it a pain to read. The hands and face are not luminous. The second hand on my watch is white (you'll see it in red in some web photos).
The large lever on the side of the watch wobbles a bit and only changes the month. Lots of style, very little function.
The month window is TINY, with month letters less than 1mm high.
The strap fastens with a complicated metal clasp like a metal bracelet watchband, as well as a set of holes and loops like a standard watchband. Some people have said it digs into their wrist and others have reported it opens unexpectedly, but I find it to be comfortable - just hard to get on.
So overall - if you buy the watch for its kickass good looks, you won't be disappointed. If you are looking for superb engineering though, you need to look elsewhere.
