(More customer reviews)I've owned this watch for 2 years, and worn it every day, so I can vouch for its quality.It's been banged around on desk corners, door jams and knobs, seat belt buckles, and just about anything else that can usually mar a watches looks - and it still keeps excellent time. There are no scratches on the crystal, and only minor scratches on the shiny stainless face that can be buffed out.The leather band is in very good shape with no leather care whatsoever.There are no cracks or broken stitches, and the leather has not discolored.
The numbers are large, and the luminous hands enable me to see the time in the middle of the night.The only thing that I would change if I could is to make the date display slightly larger or add a magnifier.I'd buy this watch again in a heartbeat.
The actual retail value is $375 (see Swiss Army website at [...]), not $250.
Update:It's been about a year since my initial review above.I woke up this morning (7-31-10) and the watch has finally stopped - so I got about 3 years out of the battery, which is good battery life.The leather band is showing some wear and is beginning to crack underneath where it is in contact with my arm constantly.Occasional leather care would have prevented this, I'm sure, as the leather is very dry underneath.The crystal face is still in perfect shape, and the stainless perimeter still has only minor scratches.
