The watch is very strong. Also I love how the face of the watch flips around so it the face of the watch dosen't get damaged. I really am pleased with the beautiful gold coloring or the watch. So far a very Happy Customer.

(More customer reviews)This is a brand new model from Citizen and it is a beautiful watch.It has many of the amazing features as other top Citizen Eco Drive watches.Specifically the Perpetual Calendar, Alarm, Chronograph, Dual Time, and Slide Rule.In this review, I will comment on each feature as well as the overall quality and aesthetics of the watch.

I was looking for a large faced aviator watch and saw many models from Citizen and Seiko. This modelhas a large 48mm diameter face which really catches the eye.The case thickness at 12mm is also not too thick, which was one of my concerns with other large faces watches.It has 4 separate knobs/buttons which have a low profile but are smooth and well finished.The buttons on the right do not dig into your hand like other watches with large knobs.The grooved ring around the face of the watch really adds a lot of BLING that is not overwhelming and very classy.

The watch has an good weight to it so you better like heavy watches.It screams quality whenever you look at it closely and press the buttons.The perpetual calendar ensures that you never need to change the date for different months and leap years.The dual time function allows you to display the time in another time zone that is in 1-hour increments.Unfortunately, it will not display time zones in 30-min increments, so if your second time zone is 4.5 hours behind your main time zone then the watch would not be able to display the exact time in the second time zone. You have to either set it at 4 hours or 5 hours apart from the first time zone.

The alarm and chronograph are selected by rotated the crown to select the desired function.The Alarm rings for 15 seconds and is audible if the watch is near to you.The chronograph can measure time up to 59 minutes and 59 seconds, with an accuracy of 1/20 of a second.

The slide rule allows you to do calculations such as ratios, multiplication, division, and percentages.You can also convert from metric to imperial units by simply moving the dial on the left to the desired position.You will have to download a manual to learn the slide rule.Even if you don't want to use it, you will find that the slide rule makes the watch look refined and technical.I supposed the sliderule could have been implemented as a rotating bezel as on other watches, but this model uses a rotating knob.This adds an extra knob to the watch but ensures that the sliderule is under the glass and not exposed.I think this is more classe that having sliderules, tachymeters, etc. that are exposed on the outer ring of the watch as rotating bezels.

I do realize that "Water Resistant" is not "Water Proof", but this is advertised as "Water Resistant to 1000M" so I believed it would be a good water watch. I do not dive, but I wanted a watch I could leave on when visiting the Beach. My Bad. After 20 minutes of swimming in the surf, I walked back on the beach and found that the watch had allowed water to enter. Not much and it appeared to dissipate. Once again, My Bad. When ever I wore the watch after, condensation would from on the inside of the crystal. I returned the watch to the Service Center which was very prompt in sending out a new replacement; however, they included a note with the new watch. "Dear Customer; This letter is to inform you that we have received and processed your watch for replacement. Your watch should NOT be worn while swimming. Watch is water resistant only, meaning it can handle getting wet but should not be submerged in water. Sincerely, Customer Service Egana of Switzerland". The "Your watch should not be worn while swimming" was high lighted. Hmmmmm, so I basically purchased a COOL looking Dive Watch that I can't wear while washing the dishes.

I'd have liked bigger diamonds (however the model with
larger diamonds didn't have as detailed a face (it used diamonds for the hour marks also) while this watch not only marks the minutes but the hour markers and hands glow in dim lighting so you can actually read the time in a dimly lit room.

While I'm not a giant by any means, I guess I do have large wrists (I've played piano since I was four, twirled batons for years, was an inveterate tennis player and sailboat enthusiast where you winch and pull a lot of lines so maybe my along with "Michelle Obama arms" I have developed strong wrists)! In any case, I noticed a lot of people mentioned how they removed a lot of links. I cannot stand wearing a watch that is tight so I wore it "out of the box" didn't do a thing...it fits more like a bracelet, but doesn't turn on my wrist either or feel to constricting when I'm "working".

Really love this watch because I don't have to take it off to jump into the pool or shower and it has been very forgiving while I'm fooling around in my garden and watering plants.

I've always been sort of a nut case about time and when I ordered this watch I had 6 watches sitting in my jewelry box...all of which needed batteries! (Note to self: Bad idea to have all your watch batteries replaced at once because they all stop at once.)So I love this watch because I don't have to worry about disposing of batteries (good for the environment) or having to run around for the batteries replacements every year or two.

This is watch is perfect! Looks good, keeps perfect time, you can wear it daily, easy to read, has luminous hands and hour markers, date window (I noticed someone said they couldn't read the date. The watch face is mother of pearl the date window is recessed and darker; however as I wear trifocals I can read the date just fine but I have to turn the face slightly when not in bright light to read the date...it's more a matter ofhaving light shine into the recess than it being too small I think,I like minute markers, second hand, doesn't need batteries! Just I love it!
