After visiting the Nekta website and seeing all of the stars of professional sports and famous hip-hop artists, I was even more determined. Then I saw a well-known star on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" wearing this exact watch!
Of course, I am equally enamored of function ... the alarm was what originally drew me to it. And the ETA quartz chronograph movement was another plus ... featuring an electro-mechanical chronograph seconds-hand: It moves in a sweep fashion, like mechanical chronos, rather than the "stepped seconds" of most quartz movements. Very nice.
The case is what Nekta refers to as "yellow stainless" - a process that creates a stainless case that is the color of gold. The result is a finish that will not rub off like gold-plated watches. And they use quality diamonds in their watches. This model has 1.62 carats of fully-faceted diamonds that add a tasteful touch of elegance to this watch. The well-designed leather strap with matching deployant clasp rounds out the total look.
Every time I wear this watch for a special night out, women will stop me so that they can look at it more closely. It is a REAL attention-getter.
