I actually own the Tissot T33779851, but the workings of the models are virtually identical. I also have a Suunto Observer. While both these watches have similar functions, and the prices are roughly equal give or take $100, there are significant differences.

I have the T-touch with the rubber strap. If the shop does not adjust it for you, you have to do it yourself. You will need a small paperclip, and a scissors. Be careful! Once you cut ths strap, there is no going back! Be mindful that the Tissot clasp sits off center - observe the inside latch of the closed clasp and you will see what I mean. Factor that into your placement.

I have 2 minor gripes about the T-touch. First, the problem of fingerprints on the glass. I have found that if I use my knuckle to touch the glass, I do not leave marks on the glass as easily. Second, this watch has no light (which the Suunto Observer does) - oh, well - minor inconvenience.

On the plus side, I love the EASE of operation! The Suunto is SO COMPLICATED they actually give you a pocket cheat card to carry around with you to tell you how to operate the watch. Ugh! The T-touch, on the other hand, is almost intuitive to operate.

T-touch only has 30M water resist, while Observer has 100M. Also, the Tissot battery apparently has to be changed at the shop, while you can change the Suunto battery yourself.

Otherwise, I love the T-Touch, and it is my current fave watch.

Product Description:
Tissot brings its tradition of technological innovation to the T-Touch titanium men's analog/digital watch, which offers eight separate functions that are easily accessible via the watch's touch screen. In addition to precise, Swiss-manufactured timing features, the T-Touch also offers an altimeter, compass, thermometer, and barometer for tracking meteorological trends. The different functions are listed around the edge of the dial--just press that area of the dial to activate it. The watch case is made from solid titanium, which is nearly 50 percent lighter than steel, but 30 percent stronger. It's also particularly resistant to salt water corrosion, as well as hypo-allergenic--perfect for those with metal allergies.
The digital chronograph enables you to time events up to 10 hours, displaying results to 1/10th of a second, and it offers standard start/stop functionality as well as a split (intermediate) function. The large round silver titanium watch case measures 43mm (1.69 inches) wide and is topped by a rounded, bidirectional rotating bezel with engraved directional markings. It has a black dial face with large, luminous white hands. Other features include a black rubber strap, scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, and water resistance to 30 meters (99 feet).
About Tissot
For more than 150 years, Tissot has embodied the innovation and tradition of Swiss watch-making. Based in the Neuchatel area of the Jura Mountains, in Le Locle, Switzerland, Charles-Felicien Tissot and his son Charles-Emile created the watch making company Tissot in 1853. Whether in the technology of its movements, in the research for special materials or in the very functions of the watch itself, Tissot's engineers and watchmakers have developed pioneering timepieces over the years. A member of the Swatch Group since 1985, Tissot watches are available in over 140 countries around the world.
Tissot uses the best movements (from ETA SA Manufacture Horlogère Suisse), the highest quality materials (316L steel, 18K gold, titanium) and scratchproof glasses (sapphire crystal--at least 2500 Vickers). The company's timepieces have also been chosen as official timekeepers for world championships in cycling, motorcycling, fencing and ice hockey.
